A joyfully jam-packed July!

Just finished an amazing month of weddings for the band! Hot off the heels of our trip to Spain for Alex and Pam at the end of June, we hit the UK shores with some incredibly special events where we got to ceilidh with some fantastic folk!

Our 5-piece band started off up at the stunning Muckrach Country House Hotel near Grantown-on-Spey for Julia & Alex's wedding. Julia's family are all from South Africa, and had never done a ceilidh before, so it was great fun teaching the steps to these ceilidh newbies.

Next, we were really lucky to have been asked to play at a really special wedding - Tom and Scott from INR's cousin's wedding! If you're looking for a brilliant venue with amazing outdoor space, look no further than Cambo Country House! Great to play for family: congratulations Niki & Ali!

Yasmine & Andy's wedding at Lochgreen House Hotel in Troon (which is always a fantastic place for a wedding!) was a really beautiful event. Yasmine's family are all Belgian, so we had half the guests not having done a ceilidh before - makes the calling all the more fun! We really loved that everyone was wearing all the traditional kilts and tartan for the wedding too!

Following this came a big three-in-a-row weekend: Margaret & Steve's wedding at The Lodge on Loch Lomond , then Rebekah & Rob's wedding at Meols Hall in Southport, then up the road to Gordon Castle in Fochabers for Lucy & Tom's big day. Aye, that's right. Loch Lomond, Southport, Fochabers. In three days...we were a wee bit tired by the end! Rebekah is a great piper, and for her father-daughter dance, wowed the crowd with a duet with her dad!

Finally, a double-header weekend to finish off the month: Louise & Euan's wedding at Edinburgh's Norton House Hotel, followed by a great Marquee wedding for Catriona & James at Monachyle Mhor near Balquhidder.
