2 weddings and a grad ball...

Last weekend we had the pleasure of playing at three awesome events! We were at Ross Priory near Loch Lomond for Mandy & Andy's wedding, Melrose Corn Exchange in the Borders for Mr & Mrs Frater's big day, and the ever-swish Balmoral Hotel Edinburgh for Napier University Business School's Graduation Ball!

Ross Priory is a venue that we've performed at a lot over the years, and it makes for a really intimate, fun space for a ceilidh. Mandy & Andy had chosen to split the night between ceilidh and DJ, but when it came to it, they cancelled the DJ set as the ceilidh was going down so well! Mandy wrote a few days later:

"The band were amazing on Saturday! The ceilidh was great fun and we ended up cancelling the DJ set and ceilidh danced the entire night instead.

Dan was a great caller, we had many guests who have never been to a ceilidh before. His instructions were clear and easy to follow. We all had a fab time on the dance floor and it really was a highlight of our special day."

Melrose Corn Exchange is a new venue for us, but it makes for a really intimate, fun space for a DIY-style wedding. Kim & Iain got married abroad around a month before the ceilidh, so it was really a perfect place for them to celebrate their wedding with their Scottish family and friends.

Our third ceilidh of the weekend was at the iconic Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh. This stands amongst the best hotels in the city, so it's always great to be asked to perform in such an amazing place.

Napier University Business School were in fine voice during the DJ set for sure!
